I find it very helpful when a Vendor promotes their product by saying, “YES you CAN!”, especially when everyone is concerned about stepping on toes, copyright infringement, and the like.

It is also a good idea to ask the Vendor, before you start on a new creative venture. In most instances, you will get the go-ahead, with blessings on top. Most Business’s LOVE it when you promote them by way of links or mention.

The more exposure they receive, the more great ideas they can pass along to others. It has a ripple effect; someone promotes you, you reciprocate, and the word gets around and around.

We’ve been asked if we would allow Sellers to manufacture craft projects using our products and some ideas we put out there. Here is what we tell them: You can copyright an original idea, product or (in Celebrity World, phrase), but you cannot copyright an idea that is already born. You can always reproduce an idea, using your own interpretation and creativity, to make it ‘UNIQUELY YOU”.

When you see the ™ , that means, simply put, Trade Mark, and is exclusive of design. You can buy it, you can make one of your own, using different ideas, beads, etc, but you cannot use the name to profit from it. Make up a new name, insert your unique identity into it, and it can be yours!

It is said, it is a form of flattery to copy another person’s ideas, work, or image. By “image”, I mean how they appear, how they talk, act, sound, function. It is not flattering to blatantly copy someone, and then lay claim to the end result.

We hope this helps some of you who wonder if selling is a hard thing to get into or not. We are here to help, not hinder. Without you, our customers, we would not be here today, and that is the best gift we can receive, in return for all you who have shopped with us.

We’ve had a number of requests for a good craft adhesive to use for gluing metal and glass components to our  Good Hair Days^® French made spring barrette backs.

We recently added a much sought-after craft glue that will do the trick: Beacon 527 multi-purpose craft adhesive.

Beacon 527 Craft Adhesive

This adhesive has been tested by ourselves, as well as hat pin crafters, and we conclude that this adhesive is by far, the best for overall performance, and longevity of hold. While other quick-dry cements are fine for instant results, they do not hold up over long periods of time, becoming brittle and resulting in epic failure to hold a project together.

Beacon 527 Multi-purpose craft adhesive, 2 ounce blister pack.
Dries crystal clear, fast drying and flexible. Super strong formula is waterproof. Great for use on china, ceramics, metal, tile, shells, gems, leather, paper, cork, glass, wood, cardboard & many more common materials.

• All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust in order for glue to properly adhere.
• Apply a thin layer of glue to one side of the material to be bonded and gently press both sides together to prevent oozing.
• Glue dries in approximately 2 hours although maximum strength will be achieved in 24 hours.
• Don’t use varnished or painted surfaces as a work area or place glued items on such a surface until at least 24 hours so that glue has an opportunity to cure.
• Clean up with acetone while glue is still wet.
• Always use in a well-ventilated area away from any sparks or flame. Keep out of reach of children.

When packing smaller items going abroad, you know those new Priority boxes that resemble an oversized video box?

Instead of shoving more paper inside which raised the weight by ounces, I wrap the items up in a piece of unprinted newspaper, then TAPE IT TO THE INSIDE of the box before sealing it up. It doesn’t move and doesn’t throw that 13 ounce package into the next pound rate!!

Keepin it simple and cheap: save a tree, use TAPE

……I wonder how many people have mentally killed me when they open the box and can’t get the items out by merely dumping it out on the table…..*giggles!
